U-CLT Receives AHC Grant
We are excited to announce that the New York State Affordable Housing Corporation (AHC) has awarded the U-CLT a grant of $40,000 towards the redevelopment of our first home at 774 Macon Place. This grant is the first AHC grant made to a community land trust in New York State.
In 2017, U-CLT was awarded funding from the New York State Attorney General’s office and Enterprise Community Partners. This funding enabled us to acquire our first home, begin renovations, and fund the project coordinator who has managed acquisition and renovation. The AHC grant will help us meet increased costs due to asbestos removal and the increasing cost of construction work.
